Careless Whisper!
Slumber is Fear!
One of the first shows this summer I'll be checking out is actually one of my favorite band of all time Poison. I've already seen these guys twice before, including last year on my birthday. I also had the chance to check out Bret Michaels do a show earlier this year as well. The 80's rock scene is probably my favorite era in music so seeing these guys in concert gives me a chance to experience that time since I was way too young to attend their concerts when they were big. Poison is playing with Def Leppard on this tour so this gives me a great double punch of 80's rock music.

The first movie I saw was "Wolverine" and I enjoyed it. I like the X-Men trilogy, including the very last one. But making prequels for certain characters to mean seemed kinda iffy. Well I was wrong as I liked the movie. Hugh Jackman as always did a good job. Damn was he jacked in this movie too. It's like he did 100 pushups before every scene he did. The story was good, obviously there is a few things that make you scratch your head, but I don't worry about that kind of stuff. This was a fun movie and I'll be getting the DVD when it comes out.
The next movie I saw is also my favorite movie so far this season, that being Star Trek. Now everybody knows I'm a huge Star Wars geek. It's blasphemy to like both Star Wars and Star Trek. Well I've enjoyed Star Trek movies in the past, especially
the ones with the New Generation. This new movie though was phenomenal. All the actors and actresses who portrayed characters of the past all did an excellent job. The story was really good and I enjoyed how they did a little "Back To The Future" and messed with the space/time continuum. This gives the "new" crew a chance to grow up and relive old adventures as well as make new ones since everything got fucked up. A lot of the old and dry Star Trek humor returned too which I found quite funny. Are you out of your Vulcan mind? I liked this movie so much that I went and saw it again.
Next up was Terminator Salvation, the fourth in the Terminator series. I am a huge Terminator fan, so I was looking forward to this movie the most. I was a little worried about Christian Bale doing the role of John Connor since last year we all saw him as Batman. But as soon as the movie started I knew it would be alright, Bale did a good job. I also liked how they brought in Kyle Reese from the very first Terminator movie into the story. Just little things like that, which gave us a new chapter in the story, but also gave us things we were familiar with as well. Of course how could we forget about the "cameo" that Arnold himself made. He told us he would be back.
Now there is still a lot of movies to come that I want to check out. Obviously the big movie this year is Transformers 2. Not going as crazy about it as some people, but I'm sure it will still be a good movie. I just hope Anthony Anderson returns, sporting more Redskins clothes in the movie. I still haven't seen "Up" from Disney, but heard nothing but good reviews for that. I loved Wall-E last year. G.I. Joe I'm not quite sure about yet. Harry Potter will be extremely popular, haven't seen the movies so I will skip on it for now. That's all I can think of right now. What movies you looking forward too?
NFL season is coming up so that's always good. I always have some hope for my Skins. This will definitely be an interesting year for them and some of the start players like Clinton Portis. My other favorite team is the Buffalo Bills. Of course this offseaon they picked up the one and only Terrell Owens. I honestly don't know how I feel about that. I guess it's like when Deion Sanders was on the Redskins, I didn't like it, but I learned to deal with it.
Glad to see Conan O'Brien take over the tonight show. I think the man is damn funny. Funnier than Leno.
I'm On A Boat Mother Fucker Don't You Ever Forget!
Can't wait for the Ghostbusters game.
Don't forget to order your copy of 2U from T.L. Brown. The release is right around the corner for real.
Welcome to the newest edition of the Thrill Holder blog, I am your host Will Holder. In today's update there is various things that I need to cover with you guys, that are happening in the world. So let's go ahead and get this thing underway.
Summer Concert Series!
So when you think of summer a couple things usually come to mind. Things like baseball games, going to the pool, hitting up the beach, mowing the grass, buying ice cream, avoiding drive-by shootings, hustling the hood rats. I mean, I could go on forever but I just wont do that. One of the things though that I do enjoy doing every summer is the different concerts that usually roll through town.
One of the first shows this summer I'll be checking out is actually one of my favorite band of all time Poison. I've already seen these guys twice before, including last year on my birthday. of my favorites. That is of course Dave Matthews Band. I have also checked out these guys twice before and it's always a good, long show. You definitely get your moneys worth. It will really be interesting to see this year how they do without their saxophone player LeRoi Moore, who passed away last year. Something tells me that these guys will be just fine, and play on in their friends memory.

That band is Incubus. Every time these guys release an album, it usually has a different sound, b
ut yet still sounds really good. I've heard they put on a really good live show from various sources, so I'm really looking forward to this show.
Now those are just the shows that I know I will be attending ahead of time. Usually I throw in a few shows at the last minute as well. Who knows what they will be, but I like surprises. Let us not also forget that T.L. Brown will be performing his big show at the end of summer. Time for T.L. to take over baby. Be sure to pick up your copy of 2U.

Smartphone Wars!
So screw Pepsi vs. Coke, Mac vs. P.C., King Kong vs. Godzilla and other such battles. A new war is brewing, but fear not, it's not something that Obama is going to strike fear into our hearts
over....well at least I don't think so. I'm talking about the war brewing in the smartphone market. Me personally am a BlackBerry user and ever since I got mine last year have been in love with it. In the past I have had Sidekicks and a HTC something, I forget what the codename , but it was ahead of its time as far as touchscreens go.

In the past I have had Sidekicks and a HTC something, I forget what the codename , but it was ahead of its time as far as touchscreens go.Now we all know that the most popular of smartphones is the Apple iPhone. Well this week Apple just announced their newest addition to the family, the iPhone 3GS. It looks just like the previous iPhone, only it's heavier for some reason. They claim it's going to be faster or something like that. Good for them, the few iPhones I've had a chance to play around with seemed to process fairly fast as it was, so kudos to them. I think however that it's going to be the firmware update 3.0 that matters most. iPhone users will be able to finally do simple things like "cut & paste" and finally send MMS messages. For more info hit up Matt Grass, I know he will have one.
Now I'm sure Apple announced their newest iPhone because last week Palm, one of the innovators of the smartphone industry released their newest weapon, the Palm Pre. I've checked out this phone and I must say iPhone has some competition. In the past, Palm phones like the Treo have run off of their own operating system as well as Windows Mobile. The Pre comes with a new system called Web OS. With just the touch of your finger, you can do so much shit that your finger can't do on an iPhone. I'm not going to bother explaining it all, you lucky I'm writing this fucking blog. But I like it, right now its a Sprint exclusive though. I'm sure you can unlock it though.

BlackBerry has some new phones coming out later this year. Too many to name actually, it almost seems like overkill. Two models I'll be researching in the coming months are the BlackBerry Onyx, which will probably be my new phone. The other will be the BlackBerry Storm 2. The first Storm was either really loved or really hated by consumers and phone geeks. So it will be interested to see how RIM improves it in the new model, especially since Palm and Apple unleashed their new beasts.
I don't even know why I bothered writing about these phones. Only 10% of the cellphone market has smartphone users anyway. The rest of you buy those crappy and cheap Motorola Razors. Have fun with your T9 input.

Let's Go Out To The Movies!
Oh Man! Summer movie season recently kicked off and I already have a few movies under my belt. Let me give you some quick reviews and let you know what I'm looking forward to. Also read on with caution because spoilers may be mentioned. My bad!
Smithsonian". I liked the first movie a lot and this movie was no different. Having visited the various Smithsonian museums on the Mall numerous times in my life, it gave me another reason to go see this movie on a personal level. Ben Stiller is always a funny man as is, this time he had Hank Azaria to help add to comedy factor. This was definitely a very fun movie with a lot of laughs. Robin Williams was not in the movie as long as I had hoped, but he still did a fine job. Also just so everybody knows, despite what they said in the movie, there is no giant underground archives warehouse underneath the National Mall. So don't go digging hoping to find Pocahontas.

Well the NBA and NHL playoffs are wrapping up. I hate both Detroit and Pittsburgh so I could really careless who wins the Stanley Cup. I like both the Lakers and the Magic on the other hand. I'm would rather have Orlando win their first title, but I won't be too upset if Kobe takes home another ring. All I know is that LeBron James is overrated.
Baseball sucks this year....AGAIN! Both the O's and Nats are horrible. Should I really be surprised though? Yankees on the other hand, opened up a very nice stadium this year. I don't like the team at all, but would not mind checking out the stadium. I heard its incredible. Red Sox still suck, wanted you Sox fans to know that. Also who really cares about MAnny Ramirez, you poor people in LA.
In the fight world there are big things happening. UFC 100 takes place in July and features a stacked card. Main Event will pit Heavyweight Champ Brock Lesnar against Frank Mir. These two fought before when Brock made his UFC debut and was embarrassed by Mir. I don't think Brock will go down quite as easily this time. UFC 101 in August features Anderson Silva stepping up in weight class to fight Forrest Griffon. This will be an awesome fight. Silva is good, but Griffon does not quit. I see Silva losing in an upset.
Floyd Mayweather is coming out of retirement in the boxing world. That is good because right now the entire sport is hurting. One good PPV a year just doesn't do it anymore.
Glad to see Conan O'Brien take over the tonight show. I think the man is damn funny. Funnier than Leno.
Everybody asks me who I think is the funniest person. That my friends would be Bobby The Brain Heenan.
It was awesome to see Ric Flair receive the Key To The City on a recent trip to Myrtle Beach.
Can't wait for the Ghostbusters game.
Don't forget to order your copy of 2U from T.L. Brown. The release is right around the corner for real.Final Thoughts!
Now in closing yes I know I didn't mention a damn thing about theme parks, rollercoasters and all that crap. That is punishment for constant nagging about this stupid blog, you wanted an update, you got one suckers. And yes I know tomorrow is the one year anniversary of my last update. I've had a blog in the can since March, but the more I thought about, the more I said screw it, let this stupid joke ride out. I chose today on purpose as the day for the next update, 364 days later. Now finally this goes out to all the doubters, those who said I wouldn't get it out in a year.....or ever. You ask the same old shit..."Will Has A Blog???" Here is your answer!
